F***k, Portfolio Blend is Over!

I am sure most of you guys know I go to Full Sail University, and probably know that I am in the Media & Communications Program. For this program we have 7 portfolio classes and 6 of them are spent in this specific way called Portfolio blend. Which basically means that the classes portfolio 1 - 6 sit down in the same classroom and collaborate with each other, give each other feedback and just work on dope projects throughout the month and at the end of week 4 (or end of the month) we all show a progress presentation in which we talk about what we did over the month, or what we didn’t do over the month. And I am not gonna lie this has been one of my favorite experiences in the world.

Portfolio Blend has given me the freedom to work on my self and my portfolio at the same time, portfolio blend has given me the chance to grow and gain real life experience. I have to give a huge shout out to my teachers/mentors, they have cared for me and all of the students in the class, they guide us and make sure we are learning real world experience, inside and outside the classroom. They also encourage us and give us feedback in the most amazing way possible.

But the person that deserves the biggest shout out is Emily Wray! Ever since my first portfolio class she has taken the time and patience to help me get tp where I want to be. She has listened to me rant and cry and laugh and every other emotion in the book. She has taken the time to get to know me and nothing means more in the world to me than that! Emily is my mentor and I am happy to call her my friend. She has also gotten me out of my shell and given me real world opportunities outside of work, and again I can not express how grateful I am for this! She was also the main person to encourage me to compete on Adobe’s Creative Jam (which if you don’t know what happened go check out my last blog post).

Anyways I am incredibly sad that this is over. And a little bit worried because I looked forward to those classes the most!
